Garden Tour

Puget Sound Daylily Club is hosting a garden tour to include Whidbey island and North Seattle. CDRC members have been invited.

The tour begins on July 19 in Seattle with everyone parking on the Mukilteo side of the Ferry terminal and walking on the 9:30am ferry (way cheaper than a car + passenger). Please be at the terminal no later than 9:10am to find a place to park and get your tickets. At the docks on the Clinton side we will have a bus waiting for us that will take us to Barb & Jay Golub's new home. Then it is on to the waterfront garden of Marcia & Klaus Zech. Her gardener will be there to answer questions and maybe ask a few of us. We will lunch at the Zech's. Lunch, drinks and dessert will be provided by PSDC. Marcia has arranged for hot tea and coffee to be served as well. We will then take the bus back across the ferry and load up in our vehicles with the next stop being our own PNW Robin's Debbie Friedlander. After Debbie's we will proceed to Millie Lawrence's and end our tour at Grace King's. My tour coordinator, Garry Fanthorpe, thinks we should be done in the 4-5pm range. For people driving back to the Portland area, you can depart the tour at any time after we arrive back in Mukilteo if you have scheduling conflicts. If you need Grace King's address to assess driving times back home, let me know. I really look forward to you guys attending and think we have planned a tour worthy of a Regional!! See you there.

PS.: We would be delighted for you to attend our tour. Please RSVP to me dicksongarden@yahoo.com if you want to come so we have enough food and transport.

You’re also invited to the open garden of newsletter editor Linda Powell. Linda’s garden will be open from July 18-20th, 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. This should be peak bloom in her area.
